ATV & Snow
Report
ATV Rentals.
Yes
it's true, you can now ride right from the Resort on your ATV, UTV
or Dirt Bike with direct trail access.
There will be an ORV Safety Education Course on Saturday, July 4th
2009, three miles north of our Resort at Club 37 Restaurant, from
8am-- 1pm. Must be 12 years of age or older and be with a parent or
Guardian. Bring your own ORV and Helmet and eye protection. Course
fee is $20.00 and you can register on site at 7:45am. For more
information contact the instructor, RICH MARTIN at 269-207-1961.
All ORV operators under 16 years old are required by law to possess
a valid safety training certificate when operating an ORV. You will
leave the course with your safety certificate. (if you pass!)
Hi All, this week has been nuts. 55
degrees for day time highs? I thought this was suppose to be summer?
Well the forecast for the holiday weekend does look good, with dry
conditions and temps in the upper seventies, so that will get us
back to normal. As for the trails, we have been getting some much
needed rain and the groomers were out all day 6-29-09 and 6-30-09,
so the trails are in perfect, dust free and smooth conditions for
the weekend, plus there will be a little bonus MUD to play in.
The DNR has gave the trails back to IATA to do the
grading and grooming, so the Irons crew will be taking care of the
trails
until this fall, but it sounds like they will be doing the grooming
every other week, instead of every week, as in the past, because of
State cut backs. So if you get a chance, give the Cadillac DNR
office a call at 231 775 9727 and tell them you would like to see
the weekly grooming come back. It's my understanding that the trail
permit money pays for this and I don't think that the permit sales
are down, so I don't see the reason for them to not groom weekly.
All the groomer operators are volunteers, so it's just the fuel and
maintenance cost that they have to cover. The next grading/grooming
is scheduled for Monday June 29th.
We do have ATV's available for this coming week and
weekend, and very few rooms left for this week.
We had a cancellation
in our Bunk house for July 8th, 9th 10th 11th. This room has two
bedrooms with queen bunk beds and a queen sofa sleeper in the living
room, full kitchen, full dining table and chairs, breakfast bar,
full living room and a fireplace and is only $149 a night. There is
a you tube video on out Photo page. It's rare to have any of these rooms open this time of
the year. So get them reserved
before they are gone in the prime time of the summer.
Here is the
link for the Lake County ordinance and map showing the roads that are
open in Lake County Michigan.

Right
beside the trails there are ditches cut into the banks, so the water
will run off of the trails. STAY OUT, THEY ARE VERY DEEP. Some of
these ditches are over 8 feet deep and if you drive into one, you
will most likely suck muddy water into engine and it will be ruined
and if it's one of our rentals, you will be owning a rental with a
bad motor.
We rent ATV's, so give us a call and go riding on GROOMED
ATV trails. You will have a ball, these are the only trails in the
state that I know of, that are groomed for ATV's and you can have several
days of riding with out seeing the same tree time after time. Not
like the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, four hills and you seen it all. And
the ATV rentals at the Dunes is $110 for 3 hours, ours is $140 for
all day, you decide which one is a better deal. We both rent the
exact same ATV's, except we have more choices. Now there are some ungroomed trails here also, so if you do want the bumps,
you can have them, you decide.
We
have great trails for the ATV’s & Dirt Bikes to ride and they are
the Little O Trail (46 miles of 50" trails), Tin Cup Springs Trail
(21 miles of 50" trails and 21 miles of 72" trails) are a hoot to
ride. The Little Manistee Trail (46 miles of 50" trails and 46 miles
of 72" trails) and the Lincoln Hills Trail (21 miles of 50" trails
and 21 miles of 72" trails). In all there is 222 miles of ATV, ORV trails
and routes plus the single tracks for
the Dirt Bikes, which I believe is around 88 miles. That’s 310 miles
of dirty fun. And they even groom the Little Manistee and Lincoln
Hill 72" trails weekly in the summer.
If
you want to come to this area just give us a call toll free at 877
745 4101 8am until 10pm or from a cell phone 231-745 4101 8am until
10pm and if we don't have a room, we will try our best to find you a
room, so call soon to get your room reserved or they will be all
gone.

Fishing Report
Hi All, these last few weeks have been great
fishing on Wolf Lake.
Some of our quest were out fishing and caught 4 Bass over 5 pounds and
one was over 6 pounds. Now those are a dandy small mouth Bass. (And
I seen the pictures). They also said that they caught some rock Bass
that were
15 to 18 inches, (Those they didn't have pictures of, but I sure wanted
to)
and tons of smaller fish too. Trout fishing is going well with huge
hatches
on now that the weather has warmed up. First light and last light are
the
best time to fish. They are talking about a front going through today,
so
this weekend should be very good.
Tight lines. Tim
Check out
or Attractions page for a list of our
Fishing Guides.
Lake County has 156 lakes 46 streams and 4 major rivers, so if you

We get people from all over the world to fish these
rivers for fall
