ATV & Snow
Report
ATV Rentals.
Our
Snowmobile rentals are back weather permitting, so if you want to give snowmobiling a try,
with over 900 miles of groomed connecting trails, call us at 231 745 4101
8 am until 10 pm.
Hi All. Well we were right, it was a busy weekend. Tons of
riders out this weekend, but the trails held up pretty good
considering we have only had light LES snow all last week and the
groomers have not had a lot to work with. But one good thing is that
has been cold. The last three mornings have been below 0. The trails
are in pretty fair shape, except trail 344 is shot and a short
section of trail 3 just south of low Bridge and right in the little
village of Baldwin, 7 miles south of here. Any bridge deck or paved
road is getting very thin, but most county roads are still snow
covered, so getting fuel and something to eat should not be a
problem. They are forecasting some snow Tuesday and Wednesday and if
we get it will freshen everything back up. Don't get me wrong, you
should still be able to get a descend ride in as long as you have
some realistic expectations of the conditions. Once you get out on
to the trails I think you will have a great time with light to no
traffic. Irons groomed 2-4-10 and Cadillac groomed 2-7-10 and
Benzie/Manistee groomed 2-6-10. I have not heard any thing official
on Baldwin or Wellston, but our guest rode that way this weekend and
were happy.
But I can not stress this enough. The trails are icy in
spots.
If you want to ride like a bat out hell, you will end up in the
trees or into someone else. So slow down and enjoy your ride and you
should have a good time.
We are
running a Bed and Sled Special for February. Get a modern well maintained single

The bridge replacement over the Little Manistee River
and Syers Creek on the west side of trail 35, just north and east of
the M37 staging area, is now done and open for traffic.
All of our rental Snowmobiles here at ATV & Snowmobile
Rentals are ready to go, so if you want to give snowmobiling a try, give
us a call at 231 745 4101.
Make sure you STOP when they see the groomers so they
can move by. It's really dangerous to have riders keep moving when
the groomers pass. Make sure you wave and show your support. Also,
please stay off the ribbon so it will set up, and the trails will
stay smoother longer, that's what we all like, right?
We are snowmobilers too, and know if there isn't enough
snow to ride, I don't want to ride in the dirt either, so if you
reserve a room and there isn't enough snow to ride, just give us a
call and cancel your room with no penalties, but if there is enough
snow I expect you to come.
Here is a list of the snowmobile trails in this area, are you ready?
The Baldwin trails, (146 miles) go west to Reed City and south from
here to Newaygo, Irons trails wrap around Wolf Lake and then heads
north, east and west for 122 miles and connects to Cadillac and
Wellston trails and Benzie/ Manistee trails, Cadillac trails connect
into the Irons, Wellston and Pere Marquette trails. The Cadillac
trails run from Cadillac, then south to Leroy, and west to Irons and
Wellston, they groom 124 miles, Wellston trails goes east to connect
to Cadillac trails and south to the Irons Trails and west to
Freesoil for 68 miles and north to the, Benzie/Manistee trail
system. The Pere Marquette trail connects to the Baldwin trail and
all the way to Evart and up to Leroy for 144 miles, the south Pere
Marquette trail goes to Grand Rapids, I think about 140 miles. The
Benzie/Manistee trail goes all the way north to the Maple City
another 147 miles and connects to the Wellston trails to the south.
Let's total this up, 146 + 122 + 124 + 68 + 144 + 140 + 147 = 891 in
groomed connecting trails just in this area alone and we are right
in the middle of them. I don't know about you but that's a ton of
riding. Now there is more trails to get to, but that would be just
over kill and this is not even counting all of the two tracks and
seasonal roads that you can ride.
Why spent an extra $200 to $300 in fuel to get to
Gaylord or the UP when we have fantastic riding right here.
WEEK
DAY RIDING IS THE BEST. Come here and get a nice clean warm room and
use that $200 to $300 for snowmobile fuel, that’s a ton of riding.
We have on site Snowmobile Rentals, here at ATV &
Snowmobile Rentals
LLC,
so if you don't have a sled, just let me know and I can get it set
up for you. Maybe you just want to try snowmobiling or maybe your
sled is broken, we can help. But remember weekday riding is always
the best, less traffic, the gas stations are less busy and it's just
a lot safer.
There is YouTube videos on our
Photo page of all our rooms, so you can
check us out before you get here.
But if you are a regular guest, you can see what new things we have
done too.

of our rental Can Am ATV's.

Very Cool
and this is just one of the trails.
In the summer
months right
beside the trails there are ditches cut into the banks, so the water
will run off of the trails. STAY OUT, THEY ARE VERY DEEP. Some of
these ditches are over 8 feet deep and if you drive into one, you
will most likely suck muddy water into engine and it will be ruined
and if it's one of our rentals, you will be owning a rental with a
bad motor.
ATV & Snowmobile Rentals LLC
rents ATV's
too, so give us a call and go riding on GROOMED
ATV trails. You will have a ball, these are the only trails in the
state that I know of, that are groomed for ATV's and you can have several
days of riding with out seeing the same tree time after time. Not
like the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, four hills and you seen it all. And
the ATV rentals at the Dunes is $110 for 3 hours, ours is $140 for
all day, you decide which one is a better deal. We both rent the
exact same ATV's, except we have more choices. Now there are some ungroomed trails here also, so if you do want the bumps,
you can have them, you decide.
We
have great trails for the ATV’s & Dirt Bikes to ride and they are
the Little O Trail (46 miles of 50" trails), Tin Cup Springs Trail
(21 miles of 50" trails and 21 miles of 72" trails) are a hoot to
ride. The Little Manistee Trail (46 miles of 50" trails and 46 miles
of 72" trails) and the Lincoln Hills Trail (21 miles of 50" trails
and 21 miles of 72" trails). In all there is 222 miles of ATV, ORV trails
and routes plus the single tracks for
the Dirt Bikes, which I believe is around 88 miles. That’s 310 miles
of dirty fun. And they even groom the Little Manistee and Lincoln
Hill 72" trails weekly in the summer.
If
you want to come to this area just give us a call toll free at 877
745 4101 8am until 10pm or from a cell phone 231-745 4101 8am until
10pm and if we don't have a room, we will try our best to find you a
room, so call soon to get your room reserved or they will be all
gone.
