The
Wolf Lake Motel & Resort, LLC and ATV & Snowmobile Rentals, LLC is within an eight mile radius of four major rivers
- the Pere Marquette, Little Manistee, Baldwin, and Pine. These rivers
provide some of the best fishing and
canoeing, tubing kayaking, and
rafting in the country.
Anglers take home prize catches of steelhead, trout, and salmon. The Pere Marquette - A National scenic and Wildlife - has seven miles of prime
water set aside for "Flies Only" fishing.
Lake
County is noted for its lakes, of course, and they are noted for their
variety of good eating pan fish. Ice fishing is a favorite winter
past-time. With 140" to 180" of annual snowfall (2009
snowmobile season we had 238" of snow) and direct access to nearly
900 miles of groomed, connected and marked snowmobile trails, winter is a
great time to visit us. You can ride your snowmobile right from your
room. If you don't have an Snowmobile, no problem, we have
Snowmobile Rentals on site, so
you can enjoy the great white north. You can go
downhill or cross-country skiing at historic Caberfae
Peaks Ski lodge, just
minutes away.
There are countless number of Mountain Bike trails the run through the
Manistee National Forest and the Pere Marquette State Forest. The North
Country National Scenic Trail and the Big M are just a couple. These have
trails to challenge riders from beginners to expert. These trails are
cross country ski trails in the winter.
There is also over 300 miles of marked ATV and Dirt Bike trails, with over
70 miles of groomed
ATV trails in the summer so you can ride all day and not get beat up by all
the bumps that are on most of the other trails in the country. You can ride
your ATV or Dirt bike right from your room, April 1st to November 30th. If you don't
have an ATV, no problem, we have ATV
Rentals on site, so you can enjoy the great outdoors. They are easy to drive and
have automatic transmissions. Plus you can ride right from your room.
There are also several challenging golf courses nearby
for the golfing enthusiast. There are at least 8 Lake Michigan
Lighthouses to explore & admire with-in an 80 mile radius of here. We have
basketball, volley ball, horse shoes, for all of our guest. There is a
paved road all the way around the lake (approximately 4 miles) for the bike
riders and rollerbladers. Runners and Joggers can enjoy the road or cross country
running on the many of the marked hiking trails. Also in Baldwin there is a bowling alley. There are several
Antique Shops near by to look for that
lost treasure. We offer
discounts at local restaurants, ATV packages, Snowmobile packages, golfing packages, fishing packages, hunting
packages, paddle sport packages and casino
packages.
A
beautiful, sandy private beach is within just a few steps from your room.
Wolf Lake has been voted the best lake to swim in Lake County for the last
several years, because of its crystal clear water and sandy beaches.
Wolf Lake is an all sport lake so you can use your boat or jet-ski or if you
don't want to tow yours, you can rent one of our fishing, pontoon, or paddle
boats. Also you may enjoy fishing or sunbathing on our 150 foot dock.
We
have 16 units to choose from, (2) Single bed units (one double bed), (3) Two
bed units (two double beds), (1) Deluxe Suite with two bedrooms, each
including hand crafted Queen Bunk beds. The suite has a fireplace in the living
room, also containing a queen sofa sleeper. It has a full kitchen and a
bar to sit at while sipping your favorite beverage. The suite will
sleep 10. All of these units listed above are up front at our motel.
Down at the lake we have (6) Two bed units (one double, one queen) with
kitchenettes and dining area, (4) two bedroom units (one double bed in each
bedroom) including a full living room with a sofa sleeper, rocking chair,
dining area and full kitchen. All lake front units and suite come
complete with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee makers, toasters and
cable TV. Charcoal grills are furnished for your cook out. There
is also a fire pit at the lake court yard for everyone to enjoy an evening camp fire
(firewood is supplied). All that you need to bring is your favorite
beverage, food and that special someone to share in the great times.
There is a restaurant and party store right across the street for your
convenience. Cocktail lounges and fine dining are also near by.
